Swift Roots Mobile App Design

How is the product used? 
Swift Roots is a mobile app designed for the future of Black women’s hair. This app is designed to be able to allow users to try on different braided hairstyles in a virtual reality environment on their mobile devices.

What features have been included and what have not been included? 
Some features in the Swift Roots application includes being able to allow the user to upload a photo of a hairstyle of their interest, a scan feature to be able to scan the user’s face for bundle quantity measurements.
The “View in VR” features allows users to view the selected hairstyle on themselves in real time before purchasing the hair.

By being able to view the hairstyle in a virtual reality environment, this allows the user to also receive accurate feedback on how many bundles they should buy based on the scan of the circumference of the user’s head similar to facial recognition on mobile phones.

What is improved? 
The customer’s shopping experience for purchasing braiding hair is improved by allowing users to be able to try on a hairstyle by using the “View in VR” feature. The user would be able to see the selected hairstyle on them in real time before purchasing the hair.

What is the interface design? 
The interface design is a mobile application.

How has the user experience changed?
The user experience has changed by allowing users to try on different braiding hairstyles in virtual reality environment, and can scan their faces and head shape to inform the user the quantity of bundles they would need for that particular hairstyle and the size of their head.
